Senior Research Scientist Christie Ho on the First 100 days Project

The First 100 days project aims to deliver dairy cow feeding strategies during early lactation to increase feed intake and peak milk yield while reducing metabolic health issues.

Improved feeding within the first 100 days of lactation can provide the benefits of increased milk income plus improved metabolic health of the cows.

An overall economic benefit can add up to a financial benefit of about $350 per cow per lactation.
