Senior Research Scientist Dr Liz Morse-McNabb on the Pasture Smarts Project

Pasture Smarts aims to enable a profitable increase in pasture grown and utilised on farm by improving pasture growth forecasting to enable better long-term pasture management decisions.

Pasture is the cheapest source of feed but managing it on the farm every day is time-consuming and difficult and therefore a real challenge to do consistently well.  The Pasture Smarts project aims to develop simple, day-to-day management options that leads to more pasture grazed and conserved on farm.

If you are interested in testing new technology and helping to design a pasture management system that will work for you and the industry, then complete a Pasture Smarts Expression of Interest here to be a Pasture Smarts partner farm.
